Yes, the process of producing AnoDes creates sodium hydroxide, a mild soap solution that is biodegradable and harmless. It’s directed to the drain. For more details, refer to our safety data sheet.
Salt is essential for the machine to function correctly. Without salt, AnoDes cannot be produced as it is a key raw material in the process. The machine will notify you when it’s time to refill. Simply add salt to the marked container, and if missed, the machine will issue an alert.
Anolytech’s system has no upper limit for daily water disinfection. Some of our customers disinfect up to 1,300,000 liters of water per day. To determine the right machine size for your needs, we’ll ask about your water usage, potential peaks, and water quality.
When chlorine compounds react with organic materials like bacteria and biofilm, a slight chlorine smell and taste may occur. This is temporary and disappears as bacteria and biofilm are eliminated. It’s safe to drink the water, and we comply with the Swedish Food Agency’s dosing regulations for drinking and process water.
